Privacy policy
We only collect what we need to answer you and do our work, and we never sell your data. Here's exactly what that means.
Who we are
This website is run by Advisor Profiles Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 15994591). We build websites and provide local marketing for independent financial advisers. We are the “data controller” for the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us at hello@adviserprofiles.co.uk.
What we collect
Information you give us. When you fill in an enquiry form we collect your name and email address, and — if you choose to add them — your firm name and your town or postcode. If you email us, we keep the message you send.
Information collected automatically. This website does not use tracking or advertising cookies. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP addresses) for security and reliability, and we use Google Fonts to display the page, which may receive your IP address when the site loads.
Why we use it
We use your information to:
- Reply to your enquiry and send you a preview or a quote.
- Provide and manage our services if you go on to become a client.
- Meet our legal and regulatory obligations.
Our lawful bases are taking steps at your request before entering a contract, our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, and — where we provide services — performing our contract with you. We do not use your details for unrelated marketing without your consent.
Who we share it with
We only share personal information with the trusted providers that help us run the business — for example our enquiry-form provider (Web3Forms), our website host, and our email and productivity tools. They process data on our instructions. Some may process data outside the UK; where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK-approved contractual clauses. We never sell your data.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards (normally up to 24 months). If you become a client, we keep records for as long as we provide services to you and for any period the law requires. You can ask us to delete your information sooner at any time.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict our use of your personal information, to object to processing, and to ask for a copy of it. To exercise any of these, just email hello@adviserprofiles.co.uk.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk — though we’d appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when it last changed.
Terms of use
These terms cover your use of this website. By using the site, you accept them.
We are a marketing provider, not a financial adviser. Advisor Profiles builds websites and provides local marketing. We are not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, and nothing on this site is financial, investment, tax or legal advice. If you need advice, please speak to a suitably qualified professional.
1 About us
This website is operated by Advisor Profiles Ltd, registered in England and Wales (company number 15994591). In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Advisor Profiles Ltd.
2 Information on this site
We work hard to keep the site accurate, but it is provided for general information only. Prices, offers, timescales and package details — including any free period or monthly fee — are indicative, may change, and do not form a binding offer.
The specific terms of any work we do for you will be set out in a separate written agreement. That agreement, not this website, governs our services.
3 If you become a client — compliance
When we write or build content for regulated advisers, we take reasonable care to reflect FCA expectations and network requirements. However, you remain responsible for your own regulatory compliance and for approving all content before it goes live. We do not guarantee that any content will be approved by your network or the FCA.
4 Intellectual property
The design, text, graphics and logos on this site are owned by or licensed to Advisor Profiles Ltd and are protected by law. You may view and print pages for your own reference, but you may not copy, republish or reuse them commercially without our permission.
5 Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the site, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, or use it for anything unlawful.
6 Links to other sites
Where we link to third-party websites, we do so for convenience only and are not responsible for their content.
7 Our liability
We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so — this includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, and for fraud.
Subject to that, the website is provided “as is”: we do not promise it will always be available or free of errors, and we are not liable for any loss that is not a foreseeable result of our breach, or for business losses (this site is aimed at businesses).
8 Changes
We may update these terms or the site at any time. The date at the top of the page shows when they last changed.
9 Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
